KEZAD Group and Witthal Gulf Industries LLC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during Automechanika Dubai 2024 to establish the UAE’s first lithium battery recycling plant. The facility, which is scheduled to commence full operations by Q2 2027, will have the capacity to recycle 5,000 tons of battery waste annually by 2027.

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment Khalid A. Al Falih announced an ambitious plan to expand the Riyadh Metro network with a total investment of more than US$21 Bn. The expansion would include the seventh line of the Riyadh Metro which will span nearly 65km and will have 19 stations, 14 of which will be built underground and five overground. It will link Qiddiya Entertainment City, King Abdullah International Gardens, King Salman Park, New Murabba, Misk City and Diriyah Gate.
