Saudi Arabia’s Alfanar Construction was awarded a US$29.7 million contract by the Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia, to replace and develop the infrastructure for Ohud General Hospital in Madinah. The 24-month project aims to revamp infrastructure for the 300-bed hospital.
In Oman, International Seafood Company has inked a construction contract with a leading local contractor to establish a complex in Duqm for canning tuna, sardines and other seafood products at a cost USD 36M. The factory will have a production capacity of 30,000 tonnes annually with provision for future expansion and scheduled for commercial production by 2024.
QatarEnergy has awarded the early site contract for the Ras Laffan Petrochemical Project (RLPP) to Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC). CCC was also awarded a lump-sum contract to prepare the site for the project’s facility Ras Laffan Industrial City. Work will commence in June, with production due to commence in 2026.
In Bahrain, BTEA has announced leasing of two plots in the Bahrain Bay Beach project. The two plots which include private beaches and spread over 9,000sqm each will be developed by Wyndham Hotel and Solymar.
In Egypt, Cairo Capital Developments has launched its second project, Lake West 2, in Sheikh Zayed City, West Cairo, built on an area of 14 feddan. Lake West 2 is a residential project comprising townhouses, twin houses and separate villas with delivery planned in 3 years.
Another developer in Egypt, Deals Investment Group (DIG) has launched two projects – Track 10 and Track 14 projects in the New Administrative Capital. Track 10 is G+10 floors and Track 14 is G+14 floors. Both projects are mixed-use project comprising commercial, administrative, and medical units and scheduled to be delivered in 2025.
