In UAE, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) awarded Robt Stone a contract to provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for its offshore project in the Jebel Dhanna, Abu Dhabi.
The project scope includes EPC of two power skids including modification of various switch gears, additional isolation valves on inlet and outlet connections to small and medium tanks including RGA lightning system for tanks.
National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) announced that it was awarded a contract worth $219 million by ADNOC Offshore to provide EPC services for a pipeline replacement project.
The scope of work for the 32-month contract involves replacement of 125 km of 20′ main oil line (MOL) from Umm Lulu to Zirku Island.
In Saudi Arabia, Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) announced a consortium comprising Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios; Alkhorayef Water & Power Technologies; and Orascom Construction as the preferred bidder for the Rayis-Rabigh Independent Water Transmission Pipeline (IWTP) project.
On completion, the project will boast a 500,000-cu-m-per-day transmission capacity. The 150-km-long pipeline project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced its Power Transmission & Distribution Business has secured a major order from Saudi Arabia for the construction of a ±525kV High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission segment valued at around US$122 Mn.
The link is part of a large capacity, Voltage Source Converter (VSC)-based HVDC system that connects Neom Industrial City and Yanbu city in western Saudi Arabia.
Red Sea Global announced a partnership with luxury hotel brand Equinox which will see the development of Equinox Resort Amaala in the Kingdom. The hotel will comprise of 128 keys, with a focus on sports, fitness, and lifestyle, as well as a suite of amenities such as a magnesium salt rooftop pool, spa, beach club, and a signature Equinox Fitness Club.
In another similar announcement NEOM’s Oxagon project will welcome a House Residence property, the hotel brand of Kerten Hospitality in 2025 comprising 200 serviced apartments.
In Kuwait, Heavy Engineering Industries & Shipbuilding Co. (HEISCO) announced that it has signed a new Contract with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) valued at US$ 59.8 million.
The scope includes water facilities upgradation at KOC’s different project locations and the duration is 960 days.
In Oman, Sohar Port and Freezone have signed a land lease agreement with Green Ferro Alloy (FZC) LLC to establish Oman’s first Silicon Metal plant in Sohar Freezone with a total investment of US$68 million.
The plant, which will occupy a land area of 160,000 sq.m, will be designed and built to produce high-quality silicon metal, initially at a capacity of 25,000 TPA in the first phase and expanding to 50,000 TPA in the second phase.
