HRE Development launches SkyHills 2

HRE Development announced the launch of its latest project, SkyHills 2, to be located in Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC). SkyHills 2, scheduled to be completed by Q2 2026, will comprise 509 luxury apartments and 17 retail outlets.

Meraas awards a US$231.4 Mn contract 

Meraas awarded Dutco Construction Co. a US$231.4 Mn contract for constructing the Bulgari Lighthouse on Jumeira Bay Island. Construction on the 27-storey luxury residential tower designed by world-renowned architecture firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel is expected to commence soon.

TAQA Water Solutions awards a new project 

TAQA Water Solutions awarded Gulf Contractors Company a transformative wastewater management project that will redefine infrastructure standards in Al Bahia and Al Sadr. The project will see the development of a 9.5-kilometre deep gravity-driven line along with the decommissioning of a number of pumping stations, thus increasing the overall hydraulic capacity to 120,000 m3/day.

ICS Arabia Launches Desert Dragon Data Centers

ICS Arabia, a leading Saudi design-build-operate data center company, officially announced the commencement of construction on the Desert Dragon Data Centers, boasting a total capacity of 187 megawatts (MW). ICS Arabia has completed the design for the cluster of 187 megawatts (MW) Tier III and IV data centers and secured land in MODON.

The first Tier III 65 MW data center is expected to be launched in Riyadh and operational in March 2026. The second phase, a 50 MW data center, will start construction in Jeddah in

February 2025, with operations commencing in the fourth quarter of 2026.The third phase will encompass 72 MW, with construction beginning in September 2025 in the Dammam and NEOM. The joint venture will invest a total of US$1.90 Bn in the Kingdom over three years.

Saudi Aramco awards US$2 Bn to Saipem 

Saipem announced that it was awarded a new offshore contract, valued at approximately US$2 Bn, under the existing Long-Term Agreement (LTA) with Saudi Aramco, for developing the Marjan field in Saudi Arabia. 

Saipem’s scope of work involves the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of wellhead platforms’ topsides, wellhead platforms’ jackets, tie-in platform jackets and topsides, rigid flowlines, submarine composite cables, and fiber optic cables. 

Oman signs an agreement with AZ Engineers

In Oman, the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology signed an agreement with AZ Engineers to establish the Al Mughsail Road and Bridge project in the Wilayat of Salalah. 

The contract, valued at US$23.4 Mn, will include the construction of a concrete bridge measuring 630 meters in length, supported by 20 columns and two side pillars that stand 13 meters high. The bridge will feature six decorative arches, with the tallest two reaching 45.9 meters and the remaining 35.9 meters. AMEA Power builds a 1GW solar PV project

Saipem partners with QatarEnergy 

Saipem was awarded an offshore EPC contract by QatarEnergy LNG in Qatar for the Combined COMP3A & COMP3B of the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Program. The contract is valued at approximately US$4 Bn.
