In UAE, HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, approved the start of designing and construction of Al Mudina water tank in the emirate, which will have a capacity of 6 million m3.
The strategic project aims to ensure the provision of water in the region and will serve agriculture and livestock projects.
Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) invited developers and developer consortiums to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the development of a new Khazna Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Independent Power Project (IPP), to be located in Al Khazna area of Abu Dhabi.
The Khazna Solar PV project, a greenfield solar power project will have a generation capacity of 1,500 megawatts. The deadline to submit the Expression of Interest is 2 October 2023.

The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) signed an investment agreement with Vaccine Industrial Co. (Vaccine) to set up a US$133mn factory in Sadeer City.
It aims to strengthen the pharmaceutical security system and localize the manufacturing of vaccines and biomedicines in the Kingdom. The 42,000 square meter manufacturing facility will provide around 150 new jobs.
In Egypt Rolling Plus tire manufacturing factory announced the setting up of a new facility at the Sokhna Industrial Zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) with an investment of US$1bn.
The project, to be spread on an area of 400,000 square meters, will have a production capacity of 7 million tires annually for passenger cars, and light and heavy transportation.
