In Oman, Maysan Properties signed an agreement with Khimji Ramdas for the first phase of construction of the Maysan Square project within the Special Economic Zone of Duqm. The project will include 20 buildings constructed across five phases within Oman’s first lifestyle business district.
The Abu Dhabi Investment Office invited Emirati businesses to submit proposals to develop 5 car service and wash centres and 10 animal feed markets for a project duration of up to 25 years.
The car service and wash centres will be located in MBZ, Al Shamkha, Al Shuwamekh and Bani Yas, and the Animal Feed Market projects will be located across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra.
ADNOC has awarded a four-year advisory and engineering services contract to SNC-Lavalin to support its offshore operations power project. The HVDC-VSC subsea transmission system, said to be the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, will power ADNOC’s offshore production operations.
Dubai South Properties contracted Al Kharafi Construction to develop The Pulse beachfront villa community. The $245 million Pulse Beachfront community project features 788 residential units in a mix of three, four, and five-bedroom villas and townhouses.
Green Energy Oman (GEO) has selected Australia’s Worley Ltd to support its project for the production of green hydrogen from 25GW of solar and wind power. GEO plans to produce 1.8 million tonnes of green hydrogen and up to 10 million tonnes of green ammonia per year from the complex.
Saudi Arabia’s Al Saedan Real Estate Company announced that it has signed agreements with First Saudi Contracting Company and Arabtech Jardaneh & Partners for Construction and Engineering Consulting services respectively for the Stage Center project in Riyadh. The project comprises a 5-star hotel and commercial complex with all facilities.
As per Ventures ONSITE Projects Tracker, nearly US$24 Bn worth of contracts were awarded in the GCC to main contractors during the 1st quarter of 2022 with Saudi Arabia leading the numbers followed by Qatar and UAE.
