TA’ZIZ awards a contract to SAMSUNG E&A

TA’ZIZ announced that an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract award of US$1.7 Bn to SAMSUNG E&A for the construction of one of the world’s largest methanol plants in Al Ruwais Industrial City, Abu Dhabi.

The 1.8 million tons per annum (mtpa) plant will be the first methanol production facility in the UAE with completion scheduled in 2028.

Técnicas Reunidas secures a new contract in UAE

Spain’s Técnicas Reunidas announced in a statement that it has secured a new Oil & Gas contract in UAE valued at US$ 3.39 Bn. The Project includes the construction of upstream facilities and offshore activities within critical process facilities. The duration of the contract is five years.

Khansaheb secures Dubai Exhibition Centre expansion contract

Khansaheb Civil Engineering was appointed as the main contractor for the first phase of the US$2.7 Bn Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) expansion project in Expo City Dubai. This phase, set for completion by 2026, will expand the DEC’s capacity to 140,000 square metres, nearly 2.5 times its current size of 58,000 sqm.

KASCO Group Developments launches VOLNA in Dubai

KASCO Developments, the real estate arm of the KASCO Group, and Evolutions, a leading real estate intelligence hub, have officially launched VOLNA in Al Jaddaf Waterfront, its third residential project in Dubai.

VOLNA is an 11-floor residential building featuring 65 meticulously designed homes. The project offers a diverse selection of residences, including studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

SPPC invites bids for a new energy storage project

Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) issued the Request for Proposals to the Qualified Bidders for 4 projects under Group 1 Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with bid submission on 2nd June 2025.

The Combined Capacity of the Projects is 2,000 MW/8000 MWh and will be located in Makkah, Qassim and Hail Provinces. Each project will be developed under a build-own-operate (BOO) model.

Baheej Tourism Development breaks ground on multi tourism projects

Baheej Tourism Development Company, a joint venture between Asfar and the Tamimi-AWN Alliance, has broken ground on its inaugural multi-project tourism destination in Yanbu city. 

Spread over a 80,000 sq m area, it boasts four iconic leisure assets including a Beach Escape, a Marine Visitor Center, a Lifestyle Hotel, and a yet-to-be-announced waterfront tourism destination. The project will be executed in three phases, prioritizing sustainability through renewable energy integration, water conservation systems, and community-driven initiatives. 

Jawad Developments launches Hayah Residence

Jawad Developments launched its latest project, Hayah Residence, in 6th of October City, West Cairo. Spanning 42,000 sqm, Hayah Residence consists of 521 luxury residential units, shopping mall, social and health clubs, swimming pools, sports courts, a gym, pet-friendly areas, a mosque, a water fountain and green spaces.
