This week we bring you a special update on the development of the Shaybarah Resort, part of the Red Sea Development project. The design of this project includes the installation of unique stainless steel orb-shaped pods that are currently being fabricated by Grankraft Industries in the UAE.
I was invited to visit this amazing special purpose water-front facility and met with Thomas Joseph, Grankraft’ Group Head for Business Development to see first-hand the pod’s fabrication.
This project, designed by Killa Design, includes 73 modular pods, 38 of which will be installed over the Shaybarah waters and the remaining set on beach-front locations throughout the resort. The pods range in size from a 1 bedroom pod at 18 metres in diameter to a 3 bedroom pod at 26 metres diameter. There is also a 4 bedroom option that combines both a 26 metre pod and a 16 metre pod.
A special thanks to Grankraft Industries and The Red Sea Development Company for allowing us to see this amazing project in the making.
