Dubai’s ENOC Group, and Japanese heavy-industry manufacturer IHI Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore establishing a low-carbon hydrogen and low-carbon ammonia supply chain in the UAE. As part of the agreement, both parties will execute corresponding studies in consecutive phases for green ammonia production in the UAE, including pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for the first-of-its-kind full-scale production plant and demonstration plant.
Property developer Binghatti has teamed up with luxury jewellery company Jacob & Co to build what they claim will be the world’s tallest residential structure in Dubai named Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences tower. The 100 plus storey residential complex would comprise two and three-bedroom residences in the Business Bay district.
E-commerce platform Noon.com announced that it will build the UAE’s largest fulfilment centre in Abu Dhabi in partnership with Abu Dhabi Investment Office. The 252,000 sqm facility, located in KEZAD, will be designed and built utilising KEZAD Group’s build-to-suit solution and will be completed in 2024.
Fujairah Fresh Water Production Co. awarded Metito the contract to build the second phase of the Fujairah Port desalination plant. Metito will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, and construction of the 3,500 m3/day plant.

Public Authority for Housing Welfare in Kuwait has awarded Mabanee Company a contract valued US$84.5 Mn to develop Sabah Al Ahmad Project (S3) which will include a Hotel, Mall with the theme of an old Kuwait Souq. Mabanee will design, construct, finance, operate, maintain and transfer of investment opportunity on a total area of 40,121 square meters site.
The United Arab Emirates and Egypt agreed to develop one of the world’s largest wind farms in a deal struck on the sidelines of the UN’s COP27 climate summit in Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt. The 10-gigawatt onshore wind project in Egypt will produce 47,790 GW hours of clean energy annually once it is completed.
