Majid Al Futtaim Communities appointed Shapoorji Pallonji International as the main contractor for the construction of its projects Aura and Aura Gardens at Tilal Al Ghaf in Dubai. The scope of the contract valued at US$217.4 Mn and includes the construction of 808 villas set across two distinct neighbourhoods. Completion is scheduled during mid-2024.
UAE based Danube Properties awarded Naresco Contracting its Skyz Tower construction contract which features a mix of apartments, retail outlets and recreational facilities, on a 67,837.39 sq ft plot of land within Arjan community in Dubai. The contract is valued at US$129 Mn.
Leading developer Damac also awarded a contract valued at $85.3 million to Engineering Construction & Reconstruction Company for completing the main works related to the last batch of 190 villas within its Bel Air cluster located in The Trump Estates at Damac Hills in Dubai.
Azizi Developments announced the purchase of a strategic plot of land on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai from master developer Meydan. Azizi has mentioned that the mobilisation is due to begin shortly on the development which will comprise residential, hospitality and retail spaces. It also added that the development will elevate Dubai’s awe-inspiring skyline to even greater heights and will be among the most prominent buildings in the entire world.
Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) awarded a $548 million contract to build a new main gas line at its Lower Zakum field offshore of Abu Dhabi. The award will increase the field’s gas production capacity from 430 to 700 million standard cubic feet per day. The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract was awarded to National Petroleum Construction Co. (NPCC).
Qatar’s Public Works Authority, Ashghal awarded a $1.48 billion public-private partnership contract for the development, design, build, finance and procurement of a 150,000 cubic meter per day sewage treatment plant, the country’s first sewage treatment PPP project, to a consortium comprising Metito, Al Attiyah Motors & Trading Co., and Gulf Investment Corp.
Located in the areas of Al Wakrah and Al Wukair, the scope of work also includes the delivery of Kahramaa facilities, including a primary substation, initial commissioning, performance acceptance testing, and 25 years of operations and maintenance.
In Egypt, UC Developments signed a contract for the construction of both Uni Tower 1 and Uni Tower 2 – in the New Administrative Capital’s Downtown area – with Amac Construction and Archrete Engineering Consultancy. The two projects comprise commercial, administrative, and medical units, as well as serviced apartments with a total built-up area of 11,000 sqm for each tower.
