In the UAE, Q Properties awarded a construction contract worth US$159 Mn to Trojan General Contracting for work on Phase I of Reem Hills in Abu Dhabi. The scope covers 302 townhouses and 110 twin villas with a total built up area of 118,000 sq m.
During the Dubai Air Show concluded last week Emirates Airlines announced plans to build a US$950 Mn engineering facility at Dubai World Central, sprawling an area of one million square metres. Flydubai also unveiled plans to build a US$190 Mn maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) facility in the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) in Dubai South by 2026.
Citi Developers announced the launch of Aveline Residences, an exquisite collection of 263 apartments located in Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle. The project comprising studios, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments is scheduled for handover in Q2 2026.
Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) has invited companies to qualify for four new solar photovoltaic (PV) Independent Power Plant (IPP) projects with a total output capacity of 3,700 megawatts (MW) within the ongoing National Renewable Energy Programme (NREP).
The projects include Al-Sadawi IPP project in the Eastern province with a capacity of 2,000 MW, Al-Masaa IPP project in the North-Western Hail region with a capacity of 1,000 MW, Al-Henakiyah-2 400MW IPP in the Madinah region, and Rabigh-2 IPP project in Makkah region with capacity of 300 MW.
National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) announced that it has received a letter of award from Saudi Aramco for two Projects (CRPO # 136 & 137), which are part of the Arab Medium (AM) facilities upgrade scheme in the Kingdom valued at US$1.3Bn. It also received a letter of award from Aramco for another contract CRPO # 128 valued at US$520 Mn.
The Neom Giga project has revealed its latest region, Epicon, a tourist destination on the Gulf of Aqaba. The project will comprise two jagged towers, one measuring 225m and the other 275m, which will contain 41 hotel and luxury residences. The region will also be home to the Epison resort, which will have 120 rooms as well as 45 beach villas, a beach club, spa and restaurants.
In Egypt, Al Marasem Development unveiled its latest integrated project, Mar Ville, in the new Sheikh Zayed City, spanning over 111 acres with investments exceeding over US$776Mn. The project is designed by Architecture Studio, and will include residential units, clubhouses, 4-star hotel, restaurants and cafes, administrative offices, and an entertainment area.
